I gave the GMAT yesterday and scored 650.
I started preparation sometime in end of july and studied for about 1-2 hours on weekdays and 3-4 hours on weekends. Below are my scores in practice tests:
Powerprep 1 - 700
Kaplan 1 - 580
Kaplan 2 - 580
Princeton - 620
Crack GMAT - 570
I started on a confident note with AWA and Maths. But till i came to verbal, i was all exhausted and couldn't just carry on.
I will be writing the test again this month end since some of the first round deadlines for the colleges are nearing, and also 650 is unacceptable score for an Indian IT services professional applying for MBA. I will be applying to ISB, CEIBS and Oxford (Said).
One regret i have is that i found this site rather late during my preparation. I will keep you posted about my second attempt.

That's very good score! But since you want to take it again, if you didn't do this on your practice tests, do both essays on your next practice tests because I had the same problem. I didn't do the essays on any of my practice CAT tests & really paid the price on the real GMAT. I was tired of the test by the time the verbal started. My verbal score was very low.

you got the same score as me but i got more in verbal and less in quant
keep up the good work in quant and work on verbal
try princeton review 2005 and kaplan 800 for verbal it is excellent
if u r in bangalore i can sell those books to u mail me at [email protected]

and just used to skip the AWA section completly during the practice tests. This time i'm not going to take any more chances.
