I would suggest taking a full diag test from mba.com… it is hard to tell with the mini tests.

Hi pkbiet,

The scoring algorithm on the Official GMAT is far more complicated than most people realize. Since that algorithm is proprietary, no GMAT company has an exact match for it, thus CAT scores can vary a bit based on the 'biases' involved in their respective designs. From what you describe, your practice test Scores have been from one particular 3rd-party vendor. Have you taken any of the Official CATs from www.mba.com or any CATs from an established source (such as Kaplan, MGMAT or Veritas)? If not then I suggest that you take one soon (perhaps this weekend). Once you have that Score, you should post back here (or you can feel free to PM me directly) and we can discuss the results and how you might best proceed with your studies.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) What type of study routine have you been following? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?

Goals:
3) What is your overall goal score?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi pkbiet,

Statistically-speaking, raising a 600 to the point that you can consistently score 700+ will likely require that you commit to at least another 2 months of consistent, guided study - and you will likely have to make significant improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam so you CAN train to score at a higher level. While there is no harm in taking the GMAT in early July, if you are ultimately going to keep studying until you score 700+, then you could save some time, money and aggravation by pushing back that planned Test Date now.

To properly plan out this next phase of your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) What type of study routine have you been following? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
