When you cancel your score, it DOES NOT appear on your score report. So when you take the second attempt, if your score is lower than your first attempt, you should cancel it. No one will know about your second attempt. If instead, you scored poorly in one section in first attempt and are able to make a significant improvement in that while retaining the overall score, a point can be made about keeping both scores. The school will see both scores.
