Hi eprakhya,

To start, each CAT is really a 'measuring device' - when used correctly, it will give you a realistic score and help define your strengths and weaknesses, but it will NOT help you to fix any of those weaknesses. To raise your scores, you have to learn the necessary Tactics and put in the proper practice and repetitions. The CAT will show you whether your studies are helping you to improve or not. As such, you really shouldn't take more than 1 FULL CAT per week. The 3 CAT results you've listed were all taken over the span of 1 week - so it's understandable that these Scores would be so similar: you haven't put in the necessary time and effort YET to learn new Tactics, adapt your approaches, consistently practice and then perform at a higher level.

From what you describe, your Official GMAT is in about 1 week. Assuming that you've taken your practice CATs in a realistic fashion (that matches what you'll face on Test Day), you almost certainly have the necessary skills to hit 660 right now. Since you're relative close to your Exam Date, you have to be careful about trying to do too much studying though. You would probably be okay taking one more CAT (perhaps this weekend), but no more than that. In the last few days, you should limit your studies to general practice and light review (NO CATs and NO 'cramming') - trying to do too much would greatly increase your chances of 'burnout' before Test Day (and that is something that we want to avoid). You would be better served by getting some extra rest so that you can go into Test Day calm, clear-headed and ready to work. Once you have your results, you should post back here and we can discuss how best to proceed with your studies.

Before I can offer you any additional advice, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) Assuming that you don't hit 720+ on this attempt, when do you think you would retest?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
3) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi eprakhya,

your scores suggest you don't have solid foundations. I suggest, you build your foundations strong and then proceed to the application of those concepts.

For Quant, I would suggest you go thru Manhattan Quant guides and couple them with GMAT club tests.

For verbal, I would suggest you enroll for egmat.

All the best!
Hope this helps!
