I have recently decided to apply for an MBA program. I don't know anything about the GMAT at this time, but I am taking it October 8th; which obviously may be a problem. 
I don't need to do great, by any means. The university I want to attend requires a 20 on the verbal/qualitative and a 400 combined score, along with a 4.0 on the AWA. I know these scores should be obtained without a whole lot of worry, but since I don't know much about the actual test (only know that those numbers are below average), but realistically what needs to be done to obtain those [minimum] scores? My math skills are absolutely horrid, but my verbal skills fine.
As far as the AWA, how advanced does your writing need to be to score a 4.0/6.0?
