I agree. I bought an erasable pad to practice. It was very useful to get used to the idea of not using paper. In fact, in the real exam, the scratch pad was better than the one I practiced with. That was nice.

The pad in the exam is not erasable but you can replace it if you have to.

the scratch pad did not bother me a lot. I practiced on paper throughout. The one thing though, that I did not like, is that the steadtler pen dried out in few minutes, so I had to put cap on it every now and then to keep it from drying.

Otherwise, overall I liked the scratchpad...

Is this new scratchpad being used everywhere? I plan to take my exam in Indonesia or HK since i will be assigned there for work for th next couple of months. Has anyone taken the GMAT in indonesia or any other asian country?
