What I did when I first took the exam was during my break (after Q), I asked for a new batch of scratch paper. That way when I came back from the break I could start preparing my grid before I resumed the test. It's all about the timing. I had a tough time getting the timing down for Q. I was flying through paper like crazy and had to time it right so I wouldn't lose valuable Q time waiting for scratch paper (because of the slow attendant). I think the booklet they give us should be composed of more paper.
Hope that helps a little.
BTW - why do you write down A B C D E 41 times? Have you tried something similar to the following? I know the format is off a little but you get the idea. You write down your choices at the very top and number accordingly below it. For me, I only write down the numbers where I'm doing POE or something. If I get the answer immediately, I don't bother writing anything down and move on to the next problem. Just an idea.
