Scratch Paper Usage

Question

Hello,
Could someone tell me all about scratch paper?For example, how much is given, is there any restriction on how much one can use...does one have to ask for more scratch paper or does the center provide a notepad?

You are given 3 sheets of papers to begin with. Only when you have finished using it you get more and the old paper that you have used has to be exchanged for new paper. You need to raise your hand so that the adminstrator can see you.
The pencils and the scratch paper is provided by the testing center.

I think scratch paper is a pretty big issue.

I ran out of paper, but I didn't want to interrupt my flow on the math section. As a result, i ended up having to do problems on small corners of the paper. 

It's crazy, because they fill up 1/3 of the front of each sheet with some text that has rules and stuff.

I would plan on writing small, neat and organized if possible.

If scratch paper is your biggest worry, you are in deep trouble for the test. Oh my God I just realized something...What happens if they give you a 2HB soft tip pencil instead of hard tip!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will be the end fo the world I tell you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, Eli John, I would argue scratch paper is important - in the same way anything that makes you feel comfortable or uncomfortable is important.
I personally use a lot of scratch paper for quant, and I don't like writing neat on my scratch paper (that's why I call it SCRATCH paper). So I did have this thing in the back of my mind about running out of paper - crazy? perhaps. abnormal? I don't think so.
On the plus side, there's plenty more paper where that came from, so getting more is no problem! :-D

Practical advice:

Don't wait until you are at the end of your last sheet to raise your hand. In many centers, there is only one proctor and if he/she is signing someone in or otherwise occupied, you will have to wait -- in the worse case for several long minutes. When you get to the top of your last sheet, raise your hand and get his/her attention, then go back to work.

A quick question -

Before you start any section, you do have to put your timing benchmarks for each section. Now as you work you way through the scratch paper, how do you keep track of the timing benchmarks......I suppose the timing benchmark table is drawn on the first sheet of the scratch book and let's say you are on the third sheet of the scratch book.....then how do you check your timing benchmarks...... flipping back and forth between current scratch sheet and the first scratch sheet will be a huge waste of time.

Also, there are three ( double sided ) sheets in the scratch book? Is that so?
