Hi Davide, my WE is very straightforward, I have 5 years of experience working as a financial analyst in a small consultancy firm. I have an undergraduate degree in Economics and a Master in Finance.

Have you decided on whether to take the precourses?

I think I'll take the on site version, my background is somewhat different from yours (ie, environmental engineering), and therefore I believe precourses might help me having a better grasp of subjects such as macroeconomics and accounting. Plus, it is a great opportunity to start meeting other MBA students and making bonds! And you? What is your opinion about that?

I also think the precourses are great to start meeting other MBA participants. I think it is also a great opportunity to get to know the city and get used to its rythm before the program starts. Even though I have a strong financial background I am not used to the technical terms in english (I live in a spanish speaking country), I have noticed this specially in accounting, so I think i might take the on-site precourses too.

yes! I can't wait to go to Milan. Well, my expectations are high because SDA Bocconi is the best business school in Italy. Even though Italy is not usually a country that comes into mind when considering an MBA, I believe that SDA Bocconi is gaining strength and has improved vastly in the rankings over the last years. I think SDA Bocconi is becoming a strong international brand and I hope that trend continues.

Thanks! A little bit about my background: 33 yo, major in Economics. I have 5 years of work experience, working in a telecom company working in marketing, planning and projects and also doing finance in a family business.

I think I will pass on the precourses; I wanted to take an online italian course, but it is not offered.

If the program start on September 29th, how sooner would it be wise to arrive?

Well, I think I will arrive just a couple of days before the precourses start. the main reason why i'll take the precourses is that I'll have the chance to get used to the city before the program begins. However if you are going to pass on the precourses, I think it would be wiser to arrive a little bit earlier than just a couple of days......perhaps a week?

How did you arrange accomodation? Did Bocconi's staff helped you with specific information? Do you have any information about cell phone plans in Italy?

Hi Kotelo, concerning accommodation it is my understanding that the School is going to disclose details in a few weeks, which also include support to find proper and convenient housing. In the meantime, since I already have a good practical knowledge of the area, I have been doing some research online to find suitable housing options. If you want, I can provide you with website and search engines that allow you to have a look at available accommodation - send me a PM if you're interested

About mobile phones I would say that Italy is quite cheap when compared to other EU countries, but you should be more specific about the information you want: do you already own a mobile phone that properly works in Italy? Do you want to buy a new phone? Do you need a data plan? Etc... Just for the record, for an entry level plan you can expect to spend around 10-20 EUR/mo.
