I admire your perseverance, but I agree you need to change your strategy.

When I first took the gmat around Feb '06 I got a 620, I also had high hopes of going 650+. My study technique prior to the exam was mainly just practice problems. I kept doing practice exams and questions from a multitude of sources.

I have since changed my strategy and am appearing for the exam once again. I have now been trying to ground myself in the foundations/basics of Mathematics and verbal SC. I used the resources from this forum plus the Manhattan book for SC. You'll be surprised how much your score can improve if you don't make careless mistakes and know the foundations of the subject material. Things as simple as equalities, absolute values, number properties are tested over and over again and can be easily overcome through the basics. Similarly, in Verbal, by knowing the types of errors and reasoning they use for SC and CR, you can become familiar with the subject matter and you will not get intimidated when you see any question because you are already familiar with what its trying to test.

I hope this helps, good luck in your prep.

I also have to chime for Manhattan, especially the SC.

Before Manhattan SC, my verbal scores were anywhere from 35 (on the actual exam) to 40... After Manhattan SC (and their RC strategy too in their other books) I went to 44-45 verbal. Thats from 76% percentile to 99%.

svj - do you have friends in the US? you could ask one of them to order it locally and ship via fedex. But remember it's cost you quite a lot to have them shipped -- so make a call depending on how fast you want it.
