Hi guys. I'm taking the exam on the May 23rd and I only need 600 points for the school that I'm applying at. Here are scores for my practice exams.
GMAT PREP I - 420 Q35 V14 Feb 7
Kaplan CAT 1 - 530 Q41 V21 Feb 21
Kaplan CAT 2 - 630 Q45 V31 April 26
GMAT PREP 2 - 640 Q48 V30 May 7
I have been focusing on the Quant session and I'm pretty confident that I will get at least 45 on the Quant.
However, for the verbal session, I'm aiming at least V28. I know it's not too hard to reach for a lot of people, but for an international student like me, I would be happy scoring 28 on the Verbal Session. I have tried the 700 level on the SC session, they are just too difficult for me at this point, and I don't want to waste extra time on the questions that I would not even encounter during the exam.
So my strategy is "Just practice the 600-700 level for SC and CR. Do y'all think it's enough?"

Hi patrickwong,
To score 600+ on Test Day, you don't have to correctly answer any questions that are too hard or too weird, but you do have to minimize the number of little mistakes that you make on the 'gettable' questions. I have a few questions about how you took your CATs:
1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)?
2) Did you take them at home?
3) Did you take them at the same time of day as your Official GMAT?
4) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)?
5) Did you ever take a CAT more than once? Had you seen any of the questions BEFORE you took any of these CATs?

1) I did the full length on the latest two exams
2) I took them at the library where there are people constantly walking around
3) The last exam I took was at the same time of the day as my official gmat
4) No. i did not
5) the cats did have few questions overlapped with the previous exams. That's kinda one of my concern
