Hi everyone,I'm seeking some advice and guidance on my situation. I recently took the GMAT and scored 495, with a breakdown of the 14th percentile in Verbal, the 24th percentile in Data Insights, and the 59th percentile in Quantitative. As a non-native English speaker, I understand that my verbal score is particularly low, and I'm concerned about how this might impact my application.
I am aiming to apply for an MSc program at Imperial Business School in London, but I'm aware that my GMAT score is significantly below their typical requirements. On a positive note, I have a 4.0 GPA and am currently working on my CV and Motivation Letter to strengthen my application.
Given my profile, what are my chances of being accepted into Imperial Business School? Additionally, do you have any advice on how I could improve my application or any alternative strategies I should consider?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hi
Marisichka,
While your GMAT score is below the average for Imperial Business School, your strong academic background and other qualifications can still make you a competitive applicant.
Your 4.0 GPA demonstrates your academic excellence. A degree from a reputable university can be a significant asset.
You can focus on retaking the GMAT to improve your score, particularly in the verbal section. Craft compelling essays and letters of recommendation to highlight your strengths and potential. Build relationships with alumni and industry professionals to gain insights and recommendations.
Additional Strategies:
Explore Alternative Programs: Research other top-tier programs in Europe and the US that may have less stringent GMAT requirements or place greater emphasis on other aspects of your application.
Demonstrate English Proficiency: If possible, provide additional evidence of your English language skills, such as standardized test scores or certificates.
