Hi all,
Background: International business grad from Scandinavia. Working in management consulting.
Current GMAT score: 710 (Q47, V41)
Ambition: ~740 (Q49, V47)
Time: I have 3 weeks until my next test
I am seeking advice on:
A. Strategies to move from Q47 --> Q49
B. Strategies to move from V41 --> V47
C. "Optimization strategies" for the last 3 weeks and for the test day
Thanks a lot guys!

Hi phso12ac,
To start, a 710/Q47 is an outstanding score (it's about the 90th percentile overall), so you can apply to any Schools that interest you and a retest is probably not necessary. Is there a particular reason why you chose to retest?
1) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
2) When are you planning to apply?
If you've already paid for your next GMAT appointment, there's no harm in taking the Test. Before we can talk about how to improve your existing scores though, it would help if you can provide a bit more information about your studies so far:
1) How long have you been studying?
2) What materials have you been using?
3) Do you have to rush to finish any of the sections on time (or do you finish any sections early?)?

Thanks a lot for your encouraging answer.
710 is my latest simulation test (via Economist GMAT Tutor) score. Sorry for the confusion. As for schools I am planning to apply for HBS, GSB, CBS, Booth and Wharton. I would like to apply in R1 or R2 this year.
I have been studying for around 10 months:
- 1 month of intensive studying (70/80 hrs/week) in July last year covering all the Quant topics
- 9 months of weekend studying (10-15 hrs/week) covering all Verbal topics, revisiting quant topics, and solving questions (with 3 breaks of up to 2 weeks of not studying scattered throughout that period)
- 1 week of intensive (70/80 hrs/week) question solving
... and as mentioned I have ~3 weeks till my actual exam
I have used Economist GMAT Tutor and I am not in rush in neither the Verbal nor the Quant section. However, I do also not finish with more than 2 minutes left for each section.
