Hey Guys,
I started my GMAT preparation ~2 months back, started with going through basic concepts using Veritas for Quants and Manhattan for Verbal. After one month of brushing concepts i gave my first mock (Manhattan free) scored 590 (Q 44 and V 29). And then based on my performance, i decided to shift my focus 90% on Verbal section (I do realize that it was not a good idea). Since the last mock i have mainly gone through CR bible and familiarized myself with the EGMAT SC (though i am still struggling a lot on SC). I know the concepts, but am failing to apply them. I have not touched Idioms yet, probably that's a reason. Do you guys have any recommendations, on how i can improve my SC performance?
Today I gave my second mock and i really had a bad day. My score went down drastically, especially in Quants (540 Q-38, V28). I do realize Quants score went down because firstly today was not my day, just knew it also during the exam and then my stratergy in the last 20 days was entirely focused on Verbal (sad to see no improvement there though). I feel really demotivated right now, can you please guide me what should be my study plan for the next days? (I plan to give GMAT in 40 days from now).
Firstly, I plan to finish the OG in next 3-4 days. But what should i practise next?

Hi Raunak,
GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Assuming a similar 'swing' in how your CATs function, these 2 CAT score results show that you essentially performed the same each time (+/- a few points) and that your current 'level' is right around 570 or so. Since you've been studying for 2 months, it's possible that you've gotten 'stuck' at this score level. Depending on your ultimate score goal, you might need to invest in some new resources and learn/practice some new Tactics.
1) What is your goal score?
2) When is your exact Official Test Date?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
4) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
