Your role as a Senior Software Developer in banking is a great angle—highlight any innovative tech projects in your essays! With a 645 GMAT, schools like Rotterdam or ESADE are within reach. They’re global and strong in tech. Network with alums to strengthen your application for these programs.

The 7.68 GPA from NITK is decent, but top global schools often want higher GMAT scores than 645—think 685+ for HEC Paris or IMD. Your 4 years of experience is good; focus on leadership stories in apps. Add volunteering or mentorship to show impact beyond work. You’ve got potential!

Here are some pointers for you:

  • Work ex looks decent. As does the GMAT. Not great, but decent
  • No Bschool will ask for (or accept) LoRs from college professors. You are looking at professional LoRs only, and one of them should be from your current supervisor. Doesn't matter if he/she didn't even attend Bschool
  • You didn't mention the most important thing - your post MBA goal. Assuming it's banking or Consulting, look at schools like NUS and NTU in SG. European programs should also be on your radar - Oxford, Cambridge, IESE, HEC Paris, and the lot. INSEAD and LBS should be your dream schools outside US
  • In the US, look at schools outside the M7.
  • To strengthen your application, focus on impact. Talk about accomplishments that show leadership, problem-solving, and quantifiable results. Mention any global exposure or cross-cultural collaboration. If you're involved in any community or leadership initiatives outside work, make sure those are featured prominently.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
