I am still way off from the application stage but my GMAT test is in September and I was wondering...
Is it a must that I create my profile with the schools before sending my GMAT score? Or is it possible that I do so after taking the test?

Thanks for your advise.

When you take your test, you can send your scores to 5 schools. You don't have to create profiles with the schools before sending your scores. Best of luck on your GMAT.

ther'es no "creating profiles" necessary in terms of GMAT/b-schools. You can send scores to schools, but not apply to them. But just keep in mind that any extra schools that you do need to send scores to will be $28.

Yea, and schools usually look at your top score anyway, so not a lot of risk I think. The profile and score sending are two separte things.

Do the schools know which other schools you sent scores to?

hey.. this was a bit helpful.. i had a similar doubt... by the way.. is it possible for anyone to guide:
Can i send my gmat score online to B-Schools (5 free ones). How can i do this.. or I can only send them the score when i finish my gmat (from the center only)

While this is true, the schools that you send score reports to will see ALL past GMAT scores. So if you take the test first time and bomb it, they'll see it. Be as prepared as you can be for the first test and hope you nail it on the spot. $200 isn't exacly pocket change either.

You can only send your scores to the 5 free ones right before you take your GMAT. Otherwise, it'll cost $28/school to have your scores sent.
