Sending GMAT scores to schools

Hi everyone!

I would like to know what I should keep in mind while selecting the 5 schools to send my test reports to?

I have taken the test in the past but always skipped this step because I just wanted to get started on the main part (i.e. the test itself) to avoid any additional distractions and stress. But this time around, I would like to make the school selection and wanted to know if there is any prior info I can equip myself with to reduce the time that I spend on this step.

I read schools have some codes, is it possible for me to get a list of these codes anywhere?
What info regarding the school should I have? Do I need to type in the exact name of the school, course etc.?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. When you start typing the school name you will get a drop down list and you can just select your school from that.
I wouldn’t worry about the codes or anything - it gets automatically populated when you select your school.
The schools you select will receive your score (if you don’t cancel), and when you do apply to that school you don’t have to pay to send your official score to that school.

As pd2606 has correctly explained, the School Selection interface is fairly user-friendly. As long as you know the name of the School (or even part of the name of the School), then the tool will auto-fill the available options once you start typing - and will do all of the coding for you. To save time, I would suggest that you have 5 Schools in mind before you arrive at the Test Center.
