not completely sure----

will go with D...I think 'with one another' can be correctly used with plural (have) and not singular (each has).

D it should be.
We need "one another" as there are more than two plays.
To match that, "have" is required.

If there would have been 2 players instead of 3 player and the option B and D were one other instead of one another will your explanation still hold good.

"one other" is wrong usage.
If there were only two plays, then I would have looked for option saying "with each other". Or " each has only peripheral relationship with the other [/b]

Please explain me why when there are 2 plays insted of 3 plays.
You thought of choosing the option each has instead of have only

B) independent, and each has only a peripheral relationship with each other .

(D) independent and have only a peripheral relationship with each other.

A-> is well formed, and seems the best choice.

Just so,
B -> distorts meaning/incorrect usage
C-> pronoun reference/meaning distorted
D-> Refer to 3 plays, and each one has ...
E-wrong

The answer should be (D). B uses "each," which is redundant considering the palys are already independent.
