The music company was afraid of the accelerating decline of sales of
compact disks would not be compensated by increased internet revenue.
Here "was afraid of the" will be replaced by "was afraid THAT the". This I understood, but shouldn't it be "compensated by INCREASING internet revenue" to match "ACCELERATING decline of sales"

increasing "by" is correct usage than just using increasing , which is why accelerating usage is correct here.
also increase (something) by (something) is correct idiom
