Here is the first question asked by a member ............ I am an Indian woman applicant with a GMAT score of 700 and GPA 8.33/10. I completed my engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology in 2018. Since then I have worked for 5 months as a software trainee, then as a political Consultant for a leading political party for 3 years and currently working as an Assistant Manager with Invest India since December 2021. Want to apply to US Bschools for fall 2023. Request my profile evaluation and some Bschools shortlist.

Great work experience, very interesting! 700 is good, Depending on your career goals, schools like Georgetown, Emory, Rice, maybe Cornell can be good options.

Its great if you can add how plan to leverage your current/past work experience to help in the next steps in your career. Depending on the word count, you can also mention a back up plan. Or you can discuss what is motivating you to make the move.

Right now there are a few select full-time programs accepting the EA - CBS, Stern, Darden. Adcoms are looking for 160 range for EA and only taken 1 or 2 times max. It is certainly possible if the rest of your profile is strong.

An Adcom is looking for these 4 things:
Qualified Work Ex - Mostly on resume and in essays
Post MBA Employability - Goals that make sense to your experience and the school’s specializations
Academic readiness - GPA & Exam score
Good fit for their program - essays and interest in specific clubs/activities

They don’t want a bunch of fluff. They want to see how you are a good fit for the program and how the program is a good fit for you. Make sure to embrace this in all of your essays.

There are special seasoned professional MBA programs - like MIT Sloan Fellows, Stanford MSx, Foster GEMBA or USC IBEAR in the US and then there is Rotterdam School of Management. If you have over 15 years of Work Ex, a traditional full-time program isn’t going to be a good fit for your career goals (not the right recruiters) or the culture.

The above programs are all full-time 1 year programs... and then obviously there are Part-time and Executive MBA programs that are part-time as well.
