Set A consists of the numbers {x, y, -x}. If each term of set A is squared and the median of the squared set is 1 more than its original median, which of the following can be the values of x and y.
a. x =1, y =-1
b. x=-1, y=0
c. x=-1, y =1
d. x=0, y=1
e. x=1, y=3

yes B is correct.
If x=-1 and y=0, the initial median of {x, y, -x} would be y or 0. The median of the squares of the numbers would be 1 since x^2 = -x^2
