Set S includes a few numbers. Is the median of S greater than its mean?
1) The median is 1/10 of the sum
S1=(0,0,1,4,5)
Mean=2, Median=1<Mean
S2=(1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1)
Mean=1. Median=1=Mean
Insufficient
2) There are 9 numbers.
Obviously insufficient
S1=(1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1)
S2=(0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1)
Combined:
Mean=1/10Sum=1/10*(9*Mean)=9/10*Mean<Mean
