Hi all, as an undergrad student at an ivy league school entering his senior year, there were many questions and problems that I have been facing and wanted to seek this community for advice.
Long story short, I was originally pursuing a career in medicine and I majored in Biochem for my first two years. GPA suffered, I DESPISED labs and shortly found an interest in the business world. I ended up finding a liking and success in economics and will graduate with a BA in this field. (major GPA of 3.8 with 3 classes remaining senior year)
Luckily, I obtained a full time paid internship at a commercial bank as a marketing intern for the summer and I am enjoying my time here.
I really want to make this summer worthwhile. I am not too knowledgable with the business vernacular and have trouble reading news on business (but i'd like to).
With the above info in mind, I would like to ask for some advice since most of you guys are plenty more experienced in this field!

1. Are there any books that you guys recommend? Any "must read" books / where do you read your news? Anything that will allow me to learn about this field and be able to converse with others.
2. I am actually quite worried. Due to personal issues/major change/course overload, My cGPA is currently 3.1 flat, but I am an excellent test taker. Should I look into preparing for the GMATs early? Are the GMATs like SATs at all in terms of preparation/studying? I scored a 2290 on my SATs and have taught students so I know the ins-and-outs (the tricks). Could I approach the GMAT in a similar manner and mindset?
3. How can I receive a good job as soon as I graduate given my lackluster GPA and lack of significant work experience? I'm planning to become proficient with microsoft office over the summer and will look into developing a few more skills maybe in design/coding.
I will also be fixing up resumes/interview techniques, but usually this isnot a problem because I am confident during interviews. (which was how I landed internship with no credentials)
The problem is that I do not think employers will even ask for an interview given my bad gpa/not even work experience. =/
Aside from these 3 core questions, I'd still appreciate any advice you can give me!!
I am motivated to try and turn my life around and will go through all lengths to achieve my goals beginning this summer!!
