Hi there,

Certainly you should be genuine and as realistic as possible in your goals. And to re-iterate, as I mentioned above I did agree with what you had suggested in your post? If that makes sense? I think that is appropriate, and mentioning 2 options is fine. I just also believe that if you DID want to stick with your orig plan or mentioning MC as the primary or only ST goal, that it is also fine to add mention to the fact that you are most passionate about eventually working within a consulting role in the energy sector if at all possible... you are not applying for the job yet, and the adcomm knows you'll do some exploring... yes they want realistic goals but also to know what you are interested in and how it all flows together... how your past, leads to your MBA, which leads to your ST goals, which leads to your LT goals. I think you are on the right track overall. Hope that helps!
