Should I add a soon-to-start job in the resume?

Question

I'm a newbie here and really appreciate everyone's comments so far.

I have a question regarding the resume. I'm having a new job in a completely different industry starting this November. Considering most R1 deadlines are in October, should I put this new position in the resume? Or just mention it somewhere in the application?
If put in my resume, my job description of this yet-to-start position will be very general and unimpressive with no accomplishment. Should I worry about setting the right tone, considering it's the first thing AdCom will read on my resume?

I'm applying in R1 to at least Stanford and Kellogg. Thank you for your suggestions in advance.

I don't think it makes sense adding it to your resume since you haven't even started the job yet. I would suggest trying to see if there is someway you can mention it in the application questions - put an end date for your current job and explain it there?

also, if it's not highly helpful to your application to begin with, it may serve better as a pretense for updating your application if you're waitlisted.

Thank you very much, staind and Jeanette. I thought I shouldn't add it in the resume either, but then two friends who are already doing their MBAs suggested that.

I'm moving from healthcare service to a junior position as an equity analyst. My long-term goal is in venture capital. Would it be helpful for my chances to let them know I'm going to having some experience relevant to business and my goal before starting MBA? If so, I'll try mention it somewhere other than the resume. Thank you again, guys!
