Hi,
I completed my GMAT today( 680 Q48 V36 IR 5).
I was hoping to apply to the below schools in R2:
1.INSEAD
2.HEC
3.IESE
4.ESADE
5.LBS
A small brief about my profile:
30 year old Male, Engineer from India.
Have a work ex of approx 8 years all in Technical Sales (Electrical and Automation) in a German Company.
Bachelors in Electrical Engg, with a CGPA of 6.4.
Have intensive experience of working in NGOs in the field of education, sports. Have also done a fair bit of semi pro football and writing.
My post career goals are Consulting/ General Management.
I was hoping for a 700, but I am feeling my INSEAD chances are bleak with this score. However I have accepted the scores, should I redo the GMAT and will a significant increase help me with Insead's R1 for Jan '23 intake or are the schools I have listed good to go?(I am hearing pretty good things about IESE).
Please help me out! TIA!

It's a tough call. Do you think you can actually get 700 (or higher) and if so, how likely is it? How much time and/or other preparation would you need to get to that point?
If the answer is that you're very confident and it's just a function of another go at it (or some time), then I would say wait. A 680 is a great score but it might give you some issues especially with the higher ranked schools on your list.
If you're unsure you'll do better, then you might want to apply sooner and hope that the rest of your profile/application will outweigh the score.
It's a very hard situation with no right answer, so I'm hopeful you'll get other good opinions too.

Thank you for sharing your profile. Your profile looks good on the surface. To begin with, your undergrad GPA and GMAT scores are both quite low. I recommend that you retake the GMAT and aim for a score of 720 or above to increase your chances of admission to INSEAD and other business schools, and you apply for the March/April deadline (i.e., R1 Jan 23 intake). You may want to read an article on how to get into INSEAD to get some insights. You didn't share much on the work front, but I'm sure your 8 years of experience will help you present examples of leadership and impact. To demonstrate yourself as a high-performing individual, you will need to showcase your professional growth. Your engagement in NGOs and other activities will assist you in bringing diversity. Try to connect your post-MBA goals to your previous work experience. Make it a point to explain how an MBA would help you reach your goals and address gaps in your profile. You will need to bring a good narrative and show yourself as distinct from the herd of achievers and how you will be able to contribute to the community of a school.
Overall, your profile is good. However, I would like to learn more about your work profile in order to identify your unique selling points.
