I am a Final year student of BITS Pilani and am planning to apply to the HBS 2+2 MBA program.I have a good amount of extracurricular, including a few leadership positions, back with a High GPA and above 700 GMAT score. But I have not engaged in much Social work or entrepreneurship. So is it worth applying for the 2+2 program or should I wait a few years?
Reposting my reply to this question from another chain by shaunak95 so everyone can see it. Cheers! Thanks sharing your stats. I would absolutely apply! HBS's 2+2 Program is specifically geared at attracting STEM students who would otherwise get sucked away in the vortex of the technology industry and not think about returning for their MBA in a few years time. Entrepreneurship is an interesting thing to have
depending on your narrative, but not required. Neither is social work.
It is an incredibly special thing to be admitted to the 2+2 program because it frees you up to take all sorts of amazing career opportunities safe in the knowledge that your fall-back plan is Harvard! I worked closely with a few this past cycle and I can't tell you how thrilled they were to be admitted.
If you don't mind me asking, what is your major?
Lastly, in case you haven't already, I would definitely check out the links that HBS posts on its website.
