Hello PranayMandar,

Your profile looks good on the surface. A GMAT Focus score of 675 is within the average range for ISB R3 applicants, which typically falls between 650 and 700. Your X, XII, and IIT Madras GPA are all excellent, which will be viewed favorably by ISB.

Two years of experience in management consulting and six months in construction project management are relevant to an MBA program and demonstrate your ability to handle demanding roles. Your involvement in NSS and child education through an NGO showcases your commitment to social impact, which aligns with ISB's values.

A strong essay, compelling recommendations, and relevant extracurricular activities can significantly strengthen your application regardless of your GMAT score. If you believe you can confidently score higher on an official GMAT within the remaining time, it might be beneficial to retake the test. Aim for a score in the 700+ range to improve your chances significantly.

Focus on strengthening your application: Regardless of your GMAT score, invest time in crafting a compelling narrative in your essay, securing strong recommendations, and highlighting your achievements, skills, and goals in a clear and concise manner.

We offer a limited number of complimentary profile evaluations each week. We match you with the students and alums of top B-Schools according to your background and target schools. In this call, the experts will try to dig out your USP for top B-schools and provide you with honest feedback on your profile and chances to your target schools.

PranayMandar
Hi,

Need advice if a GMAT Focus score of 675 would be good enough to go ahead and apply for the R3 of ISB or should I retake the test before 21st.

I am a male, 24 with a 9.8 grade in X, 98% in XII, 8.24 GPA (IIT Madras), and have a professional experience of 2 years in Management consulting and 6 months in Construction project management. Only significant co-curricular or extra-curricular activity is in social service with 1 year of NSS and 1 year with an NGO related child education

Any help would be appreciated
