Hi,
I am planning on doing ISB PGP course. To be frank i am still confused as in what i want from MBA and certainly what i want from ISB. But i am confident that this is the right time for me to do MBA. I am 29M, With 8+ years of experience and got 3 promotions with in the same duration. I graduated from IIT Bhubaneswar as mechanical engineer with 8.6 CGPA. post with i also did a course on PGBA from IIM Indore. Currently, i started preparing for GMAT in july'25 and my score increased from 546 to 675 in mocks from MBA dot com. The breakup of the score is given below. There is a great scope of improvement in my verbal section and i am confident scoring similar scores for DI and quant in main exam as well. As mentioned earlier I am not completely ready for my essay or interview and i am currently focusing on GMAT scores.

My initial plan was to take official test in November while my verbal improves further. I am re evaluating my options.

I think you should go ahead and give test now. It is best to give test when you are in right momentum.

What I understood from your message, you are not clear about your post MBA goals. Please make sure you be clear about this WHY, it is needed not only for admission but from your personal goals also.

Hey, thanks for sharing your journey so far — that’s really solid progress from 546 → 675 in just a couple of months 👏. Your Quant and DI are clearly strong and consistent, and the main lever now is Verbal. If your plan is ISB PGP, a score closer to 710+ will definitely strengthen your profile. 670–680 is still a competitive score with your profile. If you feel ready, October is definitely doable, but if deadlines allow, November just gives you that extra edge to boost Verbal. Either way, you’re in a strong spot. All the very best !
