Hello Everyone!!

I am in a dilemma and would love some help in deciding what to do.
I am applying to the MSc in Management at Bocconi University and they have a thing called the video presentation which is done through the Kira platform. It is not compulsory to submit for the program I am applying to but it lets them know more about me.

The question is :
Do you think it is worth doing it if it is not compulsory? I do not know if I should take the chance of not doing something right in the video presentation and damaging my application but If it does go well that may boost my application.
So I am in a bind!! Do you think it is better to do it or not?

Would greatly appreciate some input!!

Thank you for your time :)

orochimaru123 if you have a past track record of being really awful behind the camera then no, but if you've received positive feedback about the way you come across on camera then I definitely think you should. One thing you could potentially do is record yourself on camera and get some helpful feedback from others by sending them a private link to the video you put on YouTube. This is how I coach my clients. I will have to say I think just having you attempt it I will show you as someone who takes risks and is willing to do new things. So that's part of the test I believe. I would recommend that you familiarize yourself with preparing for a question for 45 seconds and delivering an answer for 60 seconds. Hello orochimaru123,

Thanks for writing in.

You must take the video interview unless you are convinced that your skills are not up to the mark and it may end up doing more harm than good.

We suggest that you shoot a video and gain feedback on the same from a couple of sources.

A few delivery tips that may be of help to you:

- Shoot against a clear wall.
- Look into the camera.
- Be conversational.
- Smile!
- Sound energetic, positive, confident.

All the best!
