Hi all,
I took GMAT test on 29/01 and scored 630 (Q47 V31). For my prep i did a comprehensive study on GMAT TTP and GMAT official book. Mock test on GMATclub during my lunch break( i work full time
)
I scored 680 (Q50 V27) on my first practise mock and 730 (Q50 V37) on second mock.
On test day:
Quant: i feel like the Word problems were really hard to understanding than usual. And the marker were really annoyed. It will dried out within 2 or 3 seconds. The test center confirmed to me that it happened natural( if anyone has any tips for this it would be a great help).
Verbal: RC passage were long and challenge, i ended up guessing the last 8 questions.
Anyway, i did register for another test on 15 Jan but i feel like i need more time to study again on the word problems and verbal and practise mock 3 4 5 6
Would it better for me to reschedule it to 24 Jan ? or i should keep 15 Jan and register another test on 31 Jan(Online). Because after Jan24 GMAT will switch to Focus edition and I plan to apply for Jan intake and Round 3 so time is my enemy here.
What is the experience on switching to Focus edition ? would it take me another 2 3 months for studying the new DI ? (I scored 4 on IR without any study).

Rescheduling to the 24th is probably a good idea since you have a fair amount of work to do to get to the point of being able achieve your target score reliably. After all, a week isn't much time to tighten up some weaker areas and take more practice tests.
It would be nice to be able to take the test twice, but it's not worth taking it on the 15th just to get another attempt in.
If you end up having to take the Focus Edition, you may need another month or two to master DI, but much of it is similar to CR and RC, which you need to work on anyway. So, in mastering Verbal, you'll also be making progress in DI.
