Hey, just got back from taking the GMAT, I scored a 710 (Q43/V44). Im looking apply to Top 10 programs, including Harvard and Stanford, and I'm a currently an Accounting/Finance major at a large state school with a 3.94 gpa. On each of the 5 practice tests I took, I scored a 48 or 49 on Quantitative, so I don't really know what happened when I took the test, and I averaged a 740 on each practice test I took as well. I would normally definitely retake the test, but I start school next week and I'm gonna be swamped with class and working part-time so I don't know how I'll make time for studying for the GMAT.

Given my situation, would you recommend i retake the GMAT? I'm sure I can improve on the Quantitative, as I never scored so low, but the Verbal matches my high score.

I have same exact issue. Scored a 710- 47 41. Verbal is highest il realistically get but quant I should've gotten 48/49. For me 1/2 quant points won't make that much of difference.. If you were scoring that high on quant u defenitely should retake- huge difference for top MBA in quant abilit between 43 and 48... Maybe don't study just keep practicing to keep it fresh...
