I started preparing for GMAT around 6 months back but really prepared seriously for around 40 days after I had booked my slot for the exam. During this entire I had been through various standard resources such as
MGMAT SC, Powerscore CR, RC 99 and many more.
Initially I scored 460, when I first wrote my GMATPREP mock(Q36, V17). I am usually quite motivated and the score didn't dishearten me. I prepared atleast 3 hours then onwards. Getting a score of 540 on GMATPREP1(Reset). Overtime with lot of practice of the official GMAT guide, I improved and felt better approaching the various type of questions. I again took the GMATPREP2 around 3 weeks prior to my exam schedule and got a 640(Q45,V34) under standard conditions. In the days ahead I took the
MGMAT exams 4,5 and 6 and scored 590 and 580 respectively. But on the day of the exam my score bombed to meagre 510, taking me back to stone age
.
I am quite puzzled, surprised and shocked. I dont think I would be able to apply to any university this year. I have two options either I go for one more try which will leave me with just 8-9 days to complete the application even if score well or go for the application next year.
I would be highly grateful if the experts on the forum can help me on this. Thanks in advance.
