Hello All!
This application season was dismal... I am on Stern's waiting list and it's really my only hope... and that's pretty slim but I want to do anything I can to improve my candidacy.
I scored very low on quant on the GMAT (I mean LOW). I have taken several math-related courses in college (6-8 years ago) including Intro to Micro/Macro, Intermediate Macro, Methods in Matrix and Models, Statistics, Management Science, and received all A's or A-.
I took financial accounting and calculus my first semester and received Cs (those were my worst grades EVER as my mother was extremely ill my first year of college and I was frequently traveling home that semester- it didn't help my calc teacher didn't speak english well at all!).
I am considering updating NYU and telling them I am taking a summer math class but not sure what to sign up for - Many places recommend Stats or Micro Econ but I have taken those - is it worth taking again or should I sign up for Calculus since I did poorly in that?
My only feat about calculus was it's been a while since I took a math course and not sure if it will be a really rough class for someone who hasn't taken math in a while...
THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE!!!
