(Business school POV)
1. Top unis: HEC PARIS, ESSEC, EDHEC, Emylon
Followed by: Skema, Audencia, Neoma, Kedge, etc.
Look for triple accréditions, Grand Ècole, RNCP
Other than that,
If you choose to apply, you can apply via “apply to school in France.” It lets you apply at top 5 unis using the same profile (you wouldnt have to modify SOP for each uni etc).
2. Analyse Pros and Cons
Pros:
- government benefits
- Flexibility of the course
- Except Paris, other cities will be relatively affordable
- High ranking universities; chance of doing work study apprenticeship
- Access to entire Europe + Visa Flexibility
Cons:
- LANGUAGE BARRIER (in caps). You will get ny with minimum French if you don’t plan to work part time front desk or jobs, but B1 French is recommended
- Entry level jobs pay okayish
- Limited Indian community
- Housing in Paris sucks. You can try find CROUS student residence
- Long commute time, walking, and the weather
- Social integration is slightly more difficult due to cultural and linguistic barriers
