I am a non native english speaker. I am brushing English grammar basics and I have a doubt in it.
--- last time I saw --- bear, I was travelling in --- Europe.
Can any one help me out to what articles goes in to those blanks and why. In particular I have doubt with first two blanks. It is a question from GMAT grammar book.
Adding one more sentence
--- chair is --- useful piece of furniture.
Here i have doubt with the first blank. I think second is a (null) as "useful" is not a noun and so no article.
Two more sentences - Fill with Other/Another/the other
I'm almost finished with my homework. I just need --- ten minutes. You can buy this shirt and --- one. Which --- would you like?
Thanks in advance for the answers.

Thanks for your reply. Great the answers give by you are the same given in the book as well but i have some doubts and I guess you can help to clarify those for me.
For the question - --- last time I saw --- bear, I was travelling in --- Europe.
For the first blank do we require any article at all. As far as i understood articles are used in front of nouns only. So, is last time a noun ??
For the next question - --- chair is --- useful piece of furniture.
Can't we use A chair instead of the chair as we are saying in general about chair and not about any particular one.
For this question:
I'm almost finished with my homework. I just need --- ten minutes.
Is ten minutes not a plural question ?? An other is used for singular nouns as for as i understood.
For this question: You can buy this shirt and --- one. Which --- would you like?
In first blank, why should it not be the other one.. I mean i am saying about a particular shirt. In second blank which should it not be others ??
