Since the planets revolve around the sun in orbits like the paths of electrons revolving around the nucleus of an atom, why couldn't our whole solar system just be an atom in the tail of a dog wagging in some much larger universe?


The author bases his argument for a "larger universe" on



A. an implied analogy between the universe and an atom.

B. evidence of life on other planets.

C. the theory of the expanding universe.

D. an implied analogy between the solar system and an atom.

E. the fact that the sun is the ultimate source of all energy on the Earth.
