Six countries in a certain region sent a total of 75 representatives to an international congress, and no 2 countries sent the same number of representatives of the 6 countries, if country A sent the second greates number of representatives did country A send at least 10 representatives?

1) One of 6 countries sent 41 representatives to the congress.

2) Contry A sent fewer than 12 representatives to the congress.

1) First country sent 41 out of 75 representatives. Out of the remaining 34, the distribution could be [9, 8, 7 , 6 , 4] or [10, 9, 8, 4, 3] for the other 5 countries. So in first distribution, the second highest is 9 and in second it is 10. So NOT SUFF.

2) If country A sent fewer than 12, then lets say it sent 11. So the split can be {41, 11, 10, 9, 3,1}. Note, here I have considered that the first country sent the same number of people 41.
. So in this it is second highest and atleast 10.

Now lets say, A is 9. Then the split is {41,9,8,7,6,5} . In this case, A is second highest but less than 10. NOT SUFF.

Combining 1 and 2, NOT SUFF since we seen in 2 by considering 41. Answer E.

What is the OA ?

I say E.

Test the extrems.

1: 75-41=34. Make A have 9, we have then have the rest as, 8,7,6,4. NO

Make A 11, so we have 23 left now. Now just try 10,9, 3, and 1. YES

2: can think of many possibilities.

Together Just use the examples from S1.
