SKEMA - Direct or SAI?  [#permalink]

Hello fellow b-scholars,

I am looking at completing the SAI application (joint application between HEC, EMLyon, ESCP, Audencia, and SKEMA). My main objective is to get into the MiM at SKEMA, which I see as a good fit for what I'm looking for in a program. This being the case, would I be better off submitting my application directly to SKEMA? While I like the option of getting reviewed by other top schools (particularly EMLyon) and the cost isn't an issue, I am worried that my chances could be lower by applying through SAI than by applying through SKEMA, since I there will be competing alongside the ubermensch students who are targeting HEC and ESCP. Another factor of consideration is that the current admissions round for SKEMA ends March 15, while that for SAI ends Feb 28.

Would I be putting myself at risk by going through SAI, or am I just being paranoid at this point?

Hey there,

While SAI is a cost and time-effective way to apply to multiple schools, it is always a better strategy to submit an individual application, especially if you are very keen on a particular program as seems to be the case here.

Regarding the deadline dates, you should submit whenever you are ready with your strongest possible application, which in my opinion should take around 8-12 days

This is a good enough time to prepare a comprehensive application that highlights the right strengths, compensates for any profile weaknesses.

Beyond 12 days, people usually overthink their essays and might end up messing up their application in the process.

In case you need any help in creating such an application, you can check out this resource: https://www.mim-essay.com/mim-all-in-one/
