I'm in NYC, hoping to get into NYU, so I need 700+! If not, maybe Fordham but the consensus on the forum is that it's worth it to bust your ass for NYU instead of settling for Fordham lol.

just started preparing and got 500 in diagnostic test from kaplan...can anybody tell me how does this reflect..i am a doctor and pretty rusty at maths .......i am targetting 650+...is 500 a good baseline start score?

you are aiming at UK universities, perhaps you are in london or somewhere in the uk. Private message me i am in london now and prepping.

with your medic. background 500 is a good score if it is Kaplan. their scoring system takes you down and puts your face onto the ground. keep your head up and start doing serious work.

my first kaplan was 480 and i have a quant background. i should say i was in a worse situation when i first started prep several months ago.

goood luck

Wow, if 500 is a good score in Kaplan, I should be thrilled with my personal high of 550. I'm so fed up by seeing these low test scores that I am discouraged.

Hello,

I know 2 people that got into the parttime NYU Langone program with a 650 and a 630 respectively. Of course the one with the 630 has a really good professional background as well as a good GPA and professional recommendations but the person with the 650 had a relatively average GPA and < 3 years work experience. Not sure why that's the case? :?: But of course don't let this hinder you from trying to score a 700+.

That's nice to you to share that with me - I've read the forums here about people trying desperately to get into the part time program and their profiles and it scares me a bit b/c I also have under 3 yrs of work experience, so was aiming for 700+ so it would be one less thing to worry about! But I'll hope for the best...haven't even begun exploring the admission specifics yet lol. Just gotta worry about the GMAT first
