Got it. PhD‘s can be very competitive because the intake is so small. One way to overcome your GPA is test scores potentially.
I don’t know how the cost and length of the program compare to potentially doing a masters program but that could be shorter sometimes but likely only available full-time and so you would not be able to work and go to school at the same time…
Actually scratch that, I think MBA would be more useful for you personally in case plans change and you decide against academia. It’s potentially more versatile degree than a masters and it does allow you to work at the same time. My only thought is that it would take you a couple years instead of 12 months and you probably can’t get credit for all their classes towards your PhD. I could be wrong though….
