Suppose father's age = x
Sneh's age is = x/6

Vimal's age = v

after 10 years Vimal's age = v+10
father's age = x+10
according to question
x+10=2(v+10).................(1)

and v = 8+2 =10
from (1) we get x=30
so
Sneh's age is = x/6 = 30/6 = 5

CONCEPT:-Age Problems
-Reduce/Arrive to present/current age in most of the age problems.
SOLUTION:
Vimal's current age =8+2=10 years.
Father's age after 10 years=(10+10)*2 =40 years.
Father's present age=30 years
Sneh's present age =(1/6)*30=5 years(D)

Let fathers age \(x\) then sneh's age \(\frac{1}{6}x\)

After 10 years fathers age \(x+10\) hence vimal's age after 10 years \(\frac{x+10}{2}\)

Vimal's celebrated 8 b'day 2 years ago so 10+2 years ago Vimal was 8 years old \(\frac{x+10}{2}-12 =8\)

\(\frac{x+10}{2} =20\)

\(x=30\)

Hence sneh's age =\(\frac{1}{6}(30)=5\)

Ans-D
