I'm not clear on how often we can take the GMAT. For example, if I took the GMAT Sept 23, does that mean I could retake it on October 23 only, or could I retake it as early as October 1 because the test has changed?
You can take it as early as October 1 - once per calendar month. But I don't think you can take it more than 5 times a year. Check mba.com for the rules.
I wouldn't recommend taking it so soon after a first take - you need to take the time to improve on any weak areas so that you're properly prepared for it for take 2. Otherwise it's not worth retaking - you'll just make the same mistakes.
thanks for the answer! I am of course hoping I won't have to retake it (I've been studying for this thing forever it seems). But we all need a plan B right?
Yeah, but the thing that sucks is, if you prep as well as you can the first time and exhaust all the materials and then retake, you won't have as many materials to work from for the retake. You've been at it for a while, tho, so good luck and don't get anxious!
