Hello all,
I am going to be applying for Fall '09 admission, and have a few questions -
I do not have great Extracurriculars outside my personal hobbies, and some youth coaching. While I really have a desire to contribute to the community, I'm not really sure what to do to highlight my leadership abilities for B-school in a way that does not appear rushed.
It seems like many of the top programs really value experiences outside of work/academia.
What are some things you guys (admitted, applying, and other) have done to help create opportunites to prove yourself not only as a contributor, but as a leader in the community? And how have these activities translated/been received at the MBA level, both in applications and intereviews?I hope we can get some valuable converstation going here, I am sure (at least, I hope!) I am not the only one facing this issue for the upcoming Fall '09 apps.
The main thing I am looking into is getting activiley involved with my undergrad alumni program, and continuing my youth sports coaching, but I would love some other opportunites to look into.
Thanks!
~Sam
