If x=1/3 and y=2, which of the following is true?
1. 2y < 3
2. 2y = 3x
3. 3x< y

This question gives us the values for X and Y, so we just have to plug them into the answer choices and find the answer that is TRUE (since that's what the question is asking for).
We're told that X = 1/3 and Y = 2....
Answer A: 2Y < 3......2(2) < 3.....4 < 3 This is NOT true
Answer B: 2Y = 3X.....2(2) = 3(1/3)...4 = 1 This is NOT true
Answer C: 3X < Y....3(1/3) < 2.....1 < 2 This IS TRUE....so this MUST be the answer
At this point, no other work is necessary, but here are the remaining 2 answers....
Answer D: 3X > Y....3(1/3) > 2....1 > 2 This is NOT true
Answer E: Y+1 = 3X....2+1 = 3(1/3)....3 = 1 This is NOT true.

no doubt ,my answer is right ! i have asked from my chinese friends ,you know they are good at math,lol...
