please explain the option a as answer .... the main logic behind a as answer plz

The conclusion of the argument is that these complaints about the costs of litigation "are based mainly on myth," in other words, that litigation related costs have not become "unreasonably high."

This conclusion is supported by the fact that the number of successful product liability suits has remained the same and the fact that the sums awarded haven't grown faster than inflation.

So, how would we call this conclusion into question?

(A) says that the number of unsuccessful suits has skyrocketed, imposing huge new legal expenses on businesses.

This information indicates that, even though the number of successful product liability suits has remained the same and the sums awarded haven't grown faster than inflation, the costs to businesses associated with product liability lawsuits have increased, or even skyrocketed.

Of course this information destroys the support for the conclusion that these complaints about litigation costs are based on myth. This information indicates that the complaints likely have a solid basis.
