when i took the test yesterday, something somewhat strange happened.
i had already decided that i would cancel my scores by mid way through the Q section. So I went through the exam to read the problems, if I could answer I tried to quickly (time was running out). Some questions I completely just picked an answer w/o even trying to solve.
Then I came to question #35 - a probability question (the first one!). interesting... i had to be doing bad - i was just checking off answers, why probablity now? then came question #36 - a permutation question (the first one). not a hard one, but what the heck? the first one pops up at the end of the test when I'm just clicking through? interesting...
what if I was guessing right the whole time! ahhh!
any way, just thought I'd add to the mystery of the GMAT scoring algorithm.

Why did you decide you were going to cancel your scores. Maybe you were doing well. As so many people have put it, they thought they were doing miserably in the test, but then, surprisingly came out with flying colors.
