hence 0<x<1

hence x cant be greater than 1

choice b as per me.

what's the OA????


X^2 < X is the same as the first statement!! It has to be D.

1). x^2<x

2). x<rootx

from one

x^2 < x then x is positive and a fraction.......suff


from two

x<sqrt x ie x is a =ve fraction....suff

my answer is D

My ANswer
St 1 says
x^2<x ...x^2-x<0...0<x<1...thus sufficient

St2

x<x^(1/2)..x<x^2 which is same as st1

My answer is D

Statement 1:
x^2 <1 only when x<1 SUFF

Statement 2:
x<sqrt(x) only when x<1 SUFF
