I agree with hussain15. Given the fact that you have scored a 320, you may want to ensure that you are sufficiently prepared to take on the GMAT on your second exam. I think you should not take the GMAT within the next 1-2 months, rather you may want to have a long term approach.

It doesn't seem that our friend Shamhoon will revisit this thread, so I will do my best here.

First, I agree with previous posters that it doesn't appear that you are ready to take the GMAT in terms of English ability. A score of 320 after two months of study with solid guidebooks is simply too low. It might be best to enroll in an English language course for a few months. During this time, read as much GMAT Fiction as possible.

For the quant section, I assume that you only used the math review section in the OG books. That is insufficient. For you, I advise the MGMAT math guides as well as Jeff Sackmann's Math Problems. These represents a relatively expensive investment, but these resources are essential.

The verbal books you have are great, so - when you're ready - read those again. In fact, a third reading of the Manhattan SC would probably be a good idea.

Thank you so much for the replies....sorry for the late reply

My score report...as requested

Verbal 17
Quant 14
AWA 3.5

Total 320

Used the OG .. manhattan SC ... CR Bible...OG math review

Studied for 3-4 hours for 2 months. I took breaks in between because i had to travel.
I think i could have scored better if i had completed atleast 8-10 mock tests. I gave only one , one day before the official GMAT.I am assuming that's where i went wrong.
There are no coaching center's where i live so have to study on my own.

I cannot wait for next year as i have already quit my job to dedicate my self fully to GMAT and my MBA plans. Therefore i do not have any other choice than to give another test and make sure that i leave this year Fall.

I am planning to give another Test by Mid Feb, what do you guys think?..am guessing a month should be enough. And am also planning to enroll in some online coaching because i have no other choice. Could you guys please help me in selecting the best one out there!!:-)..

I checked out veritas Prep and found Veritas Prep on Demand™ - GMAT Prep on Your Schedule ($450) as the best option. its affordable and i get all the resources i need. The only difference is that its not live like the rest of the courses veritas offers.

Please HELP!!!....

Looking at your scores, I think you might want to re-learn your fundamentals. A lot of people take GMAT after significant job experience and feel out of touch (especially Quant). You might want to revisit the concepts you learned in school. Just practicing questions will not help till you understand the 'why' behind the approach of solving.
Also, getting exposed to strategies of solving Verbal questions should help improve your score. The good thing is that when you start at 320, potential of improvement is significant. Due to the limited time ahead, private tutoring or classroom coaching would be more appropriate (you can get your doubts cleared face-to-face and can be individually guided), but if there are no coaching classes around your place, live online might be the best option. Be fully devoted to your classes and at par with your homework. I am sure you will see quite an improvement.
Enjoy the ride ahead!
