Thank you bb.

So I take it as referring to two different sources for CR and RC should be fine. These topics don't mix up.

Not at all (though everyone is different).

In my opinion:
The main challenge with RC is the reading approach/speed/retention and being able to stay focused while you read (creating a mental map of the passage)

With CR - the passage is quite short. You read the question first and then try to foresee how the passage will go based on that and what logical issue it may have. The challenge here is mostly SCOPE and not mixing up conclusion with assumption or inference.

I found RC to be quite different. the Powerscore CR book is very good and you should work with it.

As to the RC - it is a tough one. There is not really a perfect RC book out there. The closest I know of is the GMAT Verbal Foundations (yes, this one instead of the MGMAT RC one) but that's my biased opinion :)

Either way, you can do it with or without those books. Some folks here have used some low quality materials and still got great scores - it is about the effort and love/hatred of the beast.

bb, what about Veritas Prep Reading Comprehension Guide, is it any good and if so how does it compare with that of Manhattan GMAT and similar guides of other test prep companies.
